Jasenka Lalović – book signing

JASENKA LALOVIĆ, author of the popular trilogy Brda od pelina (Kastigulja, S one bande moje gore and S ove bande moje gore) will be signing her books on Friday, 05/28/21 from 5 to 8 p.m. at MAMUT bookstore, Delta City. Her books talk about tradition, customs, life, and even the language of the past and bring different women’s stories that pay tribute to women in Montenegrin society. The latest novel KASTIGULJA met with excellent reception among readers.

“With these books and my more than modest contribution, I tried to correct a great injustice. To look at a woman from this area with a little more reverence. It is specific in many ways. Most importantly, it’s just a game of chance that I chose it to be a black woman. It could have been any other because the variations are so small. The proof is that readers came from all over our region, recognizing in them their mothers, aunts, aunts… And beyond!” – says Jasenka Lalović.
