Crna Ovca was born out of a love for good food. Nobody really remembers when exactly, sometime in 2012.

We were sitting on a street in some Italian city, eating gelato, and thought about how this could be a job you truly enjoy.

After three years of research, learning, analyzing, and way too much gelato, in 2015 we opened our first shop in Dorćol.

A Flavor That Lasts

From the very beginning, we wanted a gelato that was different – creamier, more intense in flavor, melts more slowly, less cold and less sweet – a dessert that isn’t just a summer refreshment, but can be enjoyed all year round.

On the first day, we had 16 flavors. Over the next 47 days, we created 48 more. Since then, that number has reached 180, and we’ve stopped keeping count.

When we come up with new flavors, we try not to be limited by boundaries or compromises, and often experiments fail. When that happens, we simply try again.
